Z is showing everything he is doing with Sanji. So what you saw here are all what is done with him till the moment. Regardless of whether basics where done or not, I am working on some A-Engine's stuff you guys wouldn't have any interest in, and I am not coding Sanji; It's Freaky.
Zoro: His shading and his details are lots of work. We're trying to get characters as fast as possible now, and Sanji is easier and faster to do (so said Z).
Law: Nope . I believe he won't be in the first release either. His animations are nowhere near the quality of Sanji's or Luffy's sprites (except for that 3-hit combo I guess).
New coded things: Moves? Almost all Z has sprited (didn't do air rifle nor rocket yet though). Mechanics? A ton. It would be better if you would experience it by yourself in the game. A-Engine features: DRA LOTZ OF.
Playable version: We're aiming for one. Luffy, Sanji, grunts, and maybe a mini game .
Sounds I just finished doing them today and uploaded a test build for the team. The sounds handler is faar stronger than LF2's; we can set volumes and even pick a channel the sound is going to come from. Fade out effects and other ones are possible too. Sources? All will be ripped off the anime.

Grunt walking is amazing! But that might look weird if the grunts were to change that boxer pose when moving near toward you. Can you do some "careful walking" sprites as the ones you did for the fishmen grunts (when their shields are on). The one where the grunt's hand would stay in that same pose, but the legs don't cross out at all; like he moves his front leg forward, and then drag himself towards it.

Wow I think marinea looks hella gine. It look super awesome. I hope you make the rifle and sword soon so they can make little more damage than punch.
About the movement of bixer marines, I think the back leg should be infront first then the front leg go infront. So it doesnt seem weird.
Weapons, I wonder if you want to make dropable weapon? For example, few marines have been knocked out anf other marine pick up the sword so they can become nittroyou! This will be cool feature.

The marine is walking with a natural movement. Look at yourself: when people walk, they always put forward the arm opposite of the leg that is sticking out. I don't know if I misunderstood what you were trying to say, but it seems like you wanted the arms and legs while moving to be the same side.

Upgraded the lifebars. Redid them in flash so they aren't pixelated anymore.
So for stage mode it'll be challenging, but you'll have more freedom of how you go about doing things. Â It'll be more objective based, like go to X or find X and defeat X rather than just "defeat all enemies on screen". Â It won't be like lf2 where you have to wander around the stage looking for the last grunt to kill so you can finally move on. Â
As for the enemies they'll be wandering around the stage standing guard and such. Â So if you want to make it harder for yourself you could alert the guards, let them call for reinforcements and then take them all on at once, or you could sneak around them or attack them from behind, etc. Â

It depends on the grunt.  Like a bazooka would kill a grunt, but a single pistol  wont.  Still need a 3 hit combo. Â
The ones we'll do later, the commanders and such will be much harder to kill. Like half of a normal hp maybe.
ALSO flying bodies of the grunts will act as projectiles. Â Kinda like the 'burning' bodies of lf2. Â So you can send the grunts flying into each other.

There isn't really a perfect answer to this. We will add almost all of the characters that have decent moveset and can be playable from the Fishmen Island arc to wherever it goes to.
However, lets just not talk about the full version yet, we never know when OnePiece will end, so yeah.
If you were asking about this release, then there will be Luffy, Sanji and Marine Grunts.

guys, since you guys said that the tranformation, ie diable jamble/G2 should have time... How about number of attack instead? Like for example, Sanji light his leg once and he can do one or two attack of diable jamble. Luffy, he use few of his jet attack form and then he goes back to normal. Just suggestion though.
But for someone like Zoro, his shirtless/bandana mode should be just a hell move attack.

A-Engine is not something that can be called "done" anytime soon. The more we code characters, discuss the gameplay and how stuff is going to be, we realize that adding some more "feature" would make stuff convenient.
Uh I think you get the point.
For now we are trying to finish up the stuff to make a neat and tidy first release.
For the Maps, we've got Punk Hazard yet.. more maps isn't our priority for now. Same goes for Island, battleship and other modes.
