Thanx Shivam, I really needed that.. I'm still confused whether, in the end, Joel's decision was right or wrong.. but.. if I was in his place, I'd do it too.. life isn't a fairy tale, we gotta protect what we love even if we seem a little selfish.

But I still don't think what Joel did was the right thing. Going against Ellie's wish, lying to her and pretty much destroying the world in process for his own selfishness.

He didn't exactly ruined the world, the chances of the whole process working out perfectly were waay too slim.
The military is against fireflies, whole world is an enemy of each other.
Also it was in the game that Joel finds an audio-tape that has the proof that they did try it with several other patients, and it didn't work well.
That's what I heard.

Well, it is better to try than do nothing and see the world rot away. And as you said, they have tried it on other patients, so doesn't that just increases the chances of it working this time? Would you really do the same if you were in that situation, knowing that you could be ruining the chance to change the world that stole your loved ones and family? I know I wouldn't. Or think of it this way, you're just a normal guy named Rhino(for some reason) living in that world, and somehow find out what Joel did. Would still think he did the right thing? Again, I wouldn't.

Still, I liked the ending. I know I wouldn't have done the same, and that's why I liked it. It was a happy ending for Joel, he didn't care what happens to the world. It was unique in its own way. Smile
