One Piece A-Edition Demo(1.8) download!

And finally it is the time!  Ladies and gentle men, after a delay of about 12 hours, Team-A is finally releasing:

This new demo features a whopping 17 playable characters, 4 stages, a survival mode of 30 stages and 5 enemy sets (A, B, C, D and E). Demo 1.8 follows the same unlocking system the previous version have used. That is, you start only with 3 of the main playables (Zoro, Luffy and Sanji), 1 enemy set (Enemy Set_A) and one stage. You unlock the rest by going through the stages, beating the bosses and gaining the Unlocking codes that appears after each boss. That unlock code is kept to be used later to unlock new playable characters and stages!.

Upon Requests:
As everyone has requested, the pacifista's charging time has been increased, so they are less powerful now. On the other hand, the stage mode this time has been made to "anti7computerallieswithplayer". That is, thinking you would beat the stage mode by simply increasing your computer allies to the max is now a dream, and won't work anymore. The stage mode has been told this time to add 1 pacifista only if there are and for each allies you have. So you better think it twice from now on .

Joystick inputs are now permitted. Just make sure you plug in your joystick before running the game (Because the initialization of the device is only done at the start up of the game.). The arrow keys are automatically set to be the ones specialized for that in your stick, so all what you will be setting is the Jump, Defend and Attack keys.


Trouble shooting:
1-I am getting the error "The Application failed to start because it's side by side configuration is incorrect. Please refer to the application log for more details.". How do I fix this?
You need to install the run-time components for Visual C++ 2005. This time, the distribution has been bundled with the game itself; Just run "vcredist_x86.exe" in the "incase" folder found next to the game's exe.

2-I am getting the error "couldn't create art surface" every time I run the game. What do I do?
LIAR! XD. The incredible A-Grid Clipper has clipped 50% of the sprites in the game down to its edges. NO MORE CCAS!


Feedback would be truly appreciated. Also, if you happen to find a bug, please report it as soon as possible.

But I think in the options to change the controls, the defend and the jump are mixed up

So I posted this thread in the progress section, so that was maybe the reason a few saw it. Moved it back to the download section.

@Doflamingo: I didn't do the mirrorred sprites cuz it could've doubled the size of the game (double the sprites; double the size), and that would mean double the hours this game would've take to upload. (considering my sluggish connection). I will write a tiny macros that will fix the problem for you. Wait for it.

@ofekia: 1.8 codes are brand new ones. 1.5's codes won't wort at all :/ .

A-Man this game is awsome
but the thing i didn't like is the hp bar
it's confusing to now the difference between HP and the other bar that charge your hp

Put the exe into your game's folder, next to your exe. Run it, and wait till its done. It will mirror all the sprites, but some will have some color problems. So until I upload the next update, get along with that.

wow it was realy hard level but i defeted him with a lot of luck in 4 tries

really nice but in custom controls jump is defense and defense is jump fix it cause it loades a lot and u need to go back to change controls very timesucking and I just wanted to play the game

Awesome Love the game .. finished all 4 stages but stage 5 won't work(Only two marine enemy), New design's amazing and even after unlocking all players recording won't turn on(seems unlocked).
No online gaming in this version? I can't see any option for online gaming

There is no stage 5 and stage 4 stops before the last 2 bosses. This means you still didn't unlock everything. Practice on the survival stage for now till we get to upload the fixed update. And glad you liked it

 a man i found a bug in the game and this bug is about ace t just like in the previous version after i use specific moves the game is turning off but before i used jinbe and aokiji codes he worked great until i unlocked them and then the problem contiued i hope you know what to do

Hmph.. what was that move again? Was it Juujika (D>A) ?? I've tested it, and it worked. Really weird... What bg/stage are you playing on? and what are the character you've unlocked till now?

coudnt beat stage 1? wierd does it get harder after the dogs like a lot harder cause I got that far then stopped playing and I only got hit 3 times

The same proble happened to me. I've tested 3 times: I played Aokij and the computer used Ace, then I tried it with Ace against Luffy, then I used Ace against Aokiji, and it usually crashes the moment Juujika hits the opponent.

So, when version with fixed controls will be uploaded?

Well, there will be 2 fix versions on the way. One which Pack will (hopefully) be uploading today and this includes:
1-Stage 4 used to stop at 4-7. That was fixed.
2-Mirrored sprites.
3-The controls swapping Jump and Defend issue was fixed.
4-A better AI for Kizaru, since the one with you guys is just... stupid enough to shoot his leg laser to the opposite direction of the enemy .
5-A clearer HP/MP bars (Sorry Yin, but your bars weren't clear enough).

The other one should fix the problem with the online play ( the reporter says it lags like hell.) and increase the loading speed by like 2x (or even more). And that should be ready by tomorrow.

And btw, did the Joystick input worked properly? (disregarding the swap of jump and defend)

yes it works perfectly only jump is defense input and defense is jump input but its good oh and found out why u guys were saying its hard the pacifista lasers take a lot of life and it takes like 20 pistols to take one out they are so durable

Lool, that's because Pack refused uploading the game with Arlong's AI XP. It will be there in the new update I will be uploading soon (don't worry Pack, I will reduce the number of his dogs subordinates.).

after I fought with Arlong and his bitches(dogs maybe) I agree with pack too! there should be ATMOST 3 dogs ..

i lost against Enel 40 times at least
this game is so difficult but i enjoy playing it

yes level 1 realy difficult but you had a long way until you get level 4 the other levels more difficult (except of level 2 in my opinion) and the dogs killing me but i finaly defeated them after 4-3 times with luffy

About Kizaru's problem: gmgladi had this same problem and reported it to me via pm. But then later, he sent me another PM saying that he solved the problem. So gmgladi, can you please tell us how did you manage to fix it?

And about MY progress: Couldn't even reach Enel yet. I always lose against the 2 pacifista's at stage 1-8... =(

Sorry man, but I can not tolerate this kind of solutions. Its pretty much considered cheating, and you should've told me that you still couldn't get it to work. I appreciate your well to help though =)

@onepiece22: Just wait a little more. The A-Grid Clipper is currently running, but there are over 40 grids to clip, and 16 dat files to modify, so its taking a while.

ONCE!!! Its random.. I always use 7z man.. its just random error you got.

Took me 3 hrs to download.... -___________- And I find it boooorring due to toughness at Stage 1 itself... Nice graphics btw and a very epic icon!
