Kizaru New Progress

Anyways, here is some progress on the Kizaru! (this reminds me of zoro alie. You really should be more active here man!)
The character is fast, but his walking is slow (just as in the anime):
And for the sword combo, do you guys like it when you have to keep pressing A for the combo to continue? (like Aokiji's sword combo) Or do you prefer if its all done one after another without the need of pressing A?
Also, suggestions are welcome. Thanks to thatfella for his suggestions for Kizaru.

- 3 hit combo:
Kizaru simultaneously pierces the opponent by 2 beams of light.
After that, Kizaru teleports (not really teleport, more of dashes forward) and attack with another bigger beam of light.
Then Kizaru starts charging for a laser attack simillar to Kuma's, and fires it toward to knock the opponent (it also burns him).

What do you guys think about the spectacular light effect?

Well that was very fast A-man . I prefer that you keep pressing A for the sword combo since it allows you to cancel the attack if necessary.

I think that the star move should be the "hell" move. Seems like it could do a lot of damage and have a long range, so..

Kizaru kicks the opponent upwards, travels skywards before the opponent, and kicks him down:

Yeah, that's what I meant. Nice moves, I think I'm gonna really like the light kick
I also remembered another idea for kizaru, he could do that move he almost killed Zoro with, when he stepped on him and was about to...kick him, or shoot a laser, or something. I can't really remember that well...but If you could make it a grab-style move, that would be awesome!!

Liked the grab move idea! So basically, this is how it will be like:
Kizaru grabs his opponent, raise him and pierce him with a laser from his finger. The opponent falls, Kizaru then charges his leg and explodes it on the lying opponent.

Arlong New Progress
Old Progress -> Arlong Progress
Some more progress for Arlong:
- Water Shot:
Arlong makes a water ball in his hand, and launches it towards the opponent!
- Loops Of Death (Hell Move):
Arlong jumps a little forward, takes out his sword and starts doing a rampage spin loop causing some serious damage to the opponent in the way, the loop continues for about 5 times, then he comes to an end!
*NOTE* : In-game looks are not final!

The "Loops of death" look pretty cool, but maybe you could add on to it, maybe make it a "frenzy" move? (Like red eyes, maybe more speed, or maybe he uses water in a combination with his sword, or something like that.)

Well the hellmove is actually like this only (seen it in other game), also the sprites in the sheet has this too, so to make something like that, I need sprites or maybe I have to do it too,, anyways I'll see what can I do to make it awesomer.. Thnx for feedback!

Cool, awesome, amazing, splendid, overwhelming, magnificent, thrilling and astonishing!!! Seriously man, it was super fast too (considering that you are not using LFStudio). But one thing about the hell move's screenshots: You had to make them sequential and in order. Super good nevertheless, +1 from me mate!

So, did some progress on Kizaru (I really should be studying but whatever..). What I did is the Dash attack, Laser kick, finger piercing laser and the jump attack. I didn't bother taking any screenies for the dash attack as its simply a teleport with light (Just like Kuma's)

Suggestions are welcome.

@Fartball: The A-Engine is a completely new engine which will be much more convenient to use. All the complicated effects and features will be easier to code. Although the Engine will be kinda different from the LF2 one, I will make it in such a way you can convert from LF2 to it easily.

This might be kinda late, but I really like Kizaru's laser attack, it looks cool! The problem is foresee, is actually hitting people with it..(Or at least for myself ) Is it like a move that you can only hit enemies in the air, or can you hit them from the ground into the air? Also, if you make it an easy comboable move (Kinda like Sanji's moves) that would be pretty awesome as well. Keep up the awesomeness A-Man!

Thanks man! And yes, the laser can only hit those whom are in air (Reason I did it: I wanted an anti-Marco . As his flying abililties always annoy me when playing against him.) Will try to make him as combo-able as possible so no worries.

The new characters are: Marco, Crocodile, Arlong and Kizaru. This will make it a 17 characters in total (excluding the enemy sets). All the related progress can be found within the 3 pages in this thread .

P.S, guys: Have been unable to do progress for a while due to exams. Finishing in a week. The exams were supposed to end on Tuesday, but 2 exams (Chemistry and Physics) will be repeated on Wednesday and Thursday. Thats because the administration found out about some students stealing the exams from the teachers' staff and leaking them out. Thanks for your patience everyone!

7-Do the stage mode, the survival mode, a new bg or 2 (upto dan^"""), and some new stuff on the exe.
8-Do the move list and some new stuff(upto pack).

So, I am finally done with my exams, and I will back updating stuff. Here is a list of what is needed to be done for demo 1.8 to be released:

- Finish up Kizaru, Marcoand Arlong and fix the bugs on Crocodile.
- Fix the Pacifista's, and add new enemies for the stage mode.
- Code a new BG,

- Change the depth for as much sprites as possible to 256 color format (to avoid that Couldn't create Art Surface error).
- Code the stage mode and the survival mode.
- Add some new stuff on the special exe.
- Fix bugs on older characters.

Haha!! Many thanks for your encouraging! And you're always welcome to put forward your suggestions for this game! There is a lot to show now, but I am just too lazy to post. I've even started working on the A-engine, nothing special till now, just a stickman you can walk with in a stupid BG I made .
