Manga readers say that they are extending this Merman islands arc waaaay much. They also say that the next arc is incredibly awesome and will involve Trafalgar Law in it (Awesome!). Lets just be patient.

Let hope that it does get better, and fast.... there is also something missing that makes the pre time skip op better then after time skip op better, it's just that I dunno wat it is.

Actually, its not that there is something missing. Its that there is something extra. As I said before, the anime extended the Fishman Island arc a lot more; this means that there were some additional scenes which the anime added to it (e.g: these unusual Narutoish drama scenes. No offense for Naruto fans). And since Oda wasn't the one who made them, you should've noticed the non-OPish scenes and felt the boredom. Talking about the Fishman arc, in the manga, Luffy was beated Hordy with barely being hit, but in the Anime, I felt like all the training Luffy did was kinda useless...

totally agree, all the strawhats were awesome except......THE CAPTAIN. ohhh no wonder it got boring additional non oda scenes. i guess animators nvr learn.. ruined Full metal alchemist, blue exorcist, NARUTO(the anime caught up to teh manga so they had to fill in).

Anybody watched One Piece episode for today? It was really amazing. I guess Luffy is upto face a Yonkou (The forth strongest pirate on the sea) soon! I am really excited like hell! But seriously she looks very BWAAAAAAAAA. And the name... seriously never thought she would look like that.. "Big Mom":

And her crew.. is another story. I could never imagined that there will be a crew which is weirder than Luffy's. BBut this, is truly weird.

also there is diff between mainstram and popular.

Started watching HXH -referred to it by Pack. I watched 10 episodes already and I can say that the anime is awesome until now. I would recommend it for those who enjoy adventure genre.

Yes. Code Geass and Guilty Crown has very close relation although they are not related in any kind with storyline... And I find Code Geass much better than Guilty Crown.. Angel Beats! is good but not too much entertaining. But on the last scene I bet you will cry if you are an Otaku. The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya is good but not upto the mark so I didn't put it in the list.

Yeah but if I were to rank all the anime shows I ever watched,it won't even make it in the Top 5 ...

No that mean I've seen better anime shows than you:
1.Death note (No doubt about it,if you have seen it then you know)
2.Beyblade (its 1st three seasons,new one sucks ass) (One of the most epic things I ever saw,I was crazy for this and even now I like its characters and remember them)
3.Hellsing (Pure high level action full of blood and gore,just the way I like it)
4.Elfen Lied (Same as hellsing,and a good heart touching too,though some scenes are just too much bloody)
5.Digimon(1st season) (It used to air when I was a kid,I remember some parts of it,I just remember it to be fantastic and peaceful,dunno why but it still gives me nostalgia)

Afro Samurai,DBZ,pokemon etc. will come after this...

You should watch One Piece if you have the time

Well he was my favorite character. Once he was gone it just...idk, took out some awesomeness. For me it just became "I'm only watching this to see what happens at the end."
