New Character Selection Screen

So I'm going to design the Character Selection Screen for the new A-Engine, so of course I need some cnc, this design is based off of Super Smash Brothers and the design is still in development.

WAH! SO FREAKIN' COOL! SERIOUSLY ROCKER, YOU ROCK!
P.S: Put in mind that the A-Engine will run on Full Screen (cuz we want to have wider and larger bgs). Have it 1024x768. Keep this up!

Hehe thanks A man . I didn't really know the dimensions so I just went along with LF2 but I'll fix that, also just so you and everyone else can see is that I was thinking at the bottom where the player/sprite model viewer is shown it has say if you were playing with 2-3 players on the same computer then it would have Player 1, 2 and 3 sprites showing at the bottom and if it was online mode then it be a shadow/silhouette of the character be chosen by the other player, but of course its entirely up to you if you want to go along with my idea.

Well, you and Yin are the team designer. So all what you have to concern is the design and the look itself, and I will program whatever you guys do XD

Ahh okay well I have two ideas, the first idea is that the sprites will be animated along with the one piece shadow below them or and this is the second idea the sprites aren't animated and the one piece logo shadow is rotating and will be have like a I don't know maybe like a glowing barrier around it but yeah.

Thanks everyone , if you haven't noticed on the first character box there is a orange dot that basically indicates the character you're on I might have it so the box glows not sure yet.

Wonderful! It doesn't make much of a difference but I think slower version is better.

And once again, was made speechless by ROCKER! ITS 4|\/|421|\|9 (A +rep for the first to guess what was that. Don't post the answer as an off topic though. Be smart ;D)!!
Also, instead of you having to do the animation for every character, you just care on the selection and I will let the Engine maps to the standing pics of each character from their respective A-File. So the main images that have to be separate are the platform, the main bg and the shadows under the characters (and yes, the A-Engine should support images with an alpha value, so its alright if the there are some transparent stuff in the designs).

You are getting my hopes really high for the A-engine.
How will the selection screen look for characters who are not unlocked yet?

Well then I guess I will create a new set of frames called "main stance". These are the ones which the selection screen will load the sprites from.

Ahh okay will do but for some characters try using stances that suit them like I did for Shanks and Dof.

Well if a character isn't unlocked yet it will probably be left blank or have a lock on it and it will be darkened out so it won't conflict with the ones that are available.

ontopc: this is epic really..but remember A-MAN that I suggested an idea of whole page like big character info page? how about we go to that page once we select character? huh? huh? what say?

That would be a good idea, maybe like if you're hovering over a character you press a certain key and that brings up a character info page?

Haha just wanna help make the game successive (but then again I want AllStars to be better this is hard ) but yeah pressing a certain key brings up info with a movelist?

all stars and opae will be quite similar as later on I plan to use A-Engine only (not sure though)
