Toshiro something-or-other

This is an unfinished sig:

But, I'm kinda stuck. Any suggestions/critiques on what I can do to improve it? Please? (Btw, it's supposed to be a dark city and Toshiro is popping out of it. sort of like a portal i guess. White Sparrows are there for a reference)

first,you have to focus on render =_= then BG, i can tell you stuck in making BG =_="

Yeah, I got the render done. The background is kinda...not done. It feels empty but I don't know what else to add to it without overcrowding it. I dunno, maybe I'll just leave the background as-is and just add the finishing touches...

you can use scenary as BG (wallpaper)

u can tone down all the blue in the portal, its too bright and is soo bright u cant see any details in the bg.

Too bright, the blue effects are all I can see, the city isnt really visible, I don't know y u added the birds..
The signature looks weird..Text is awesome..
With little of fixing it will be really awesome..

Yeah, I'm going to redo the portal's size so more of the city is visible, and try to tone down the brightness. Thanks guys for the suggestions

So this is the first "Finished" version I made. I dimmed it a bit, made the portal smaller, and got rid of a lot of blue.

What do you guys think?

Your outcome less flow =_= than my friend outcome and less depth,lighting wrong, white effect around render you put too much =_=, his text better than yours,this look better than the first one.

Damn, forgot the lighting again.
As for flow...it's not easy making a city background flow The white effect is supposed to be like a portal thing, so if I made it smaller, it wouldn't look like one, and as for the text..his is kinda plain. Well, I guess I'll try to fix the lighting, flow, and depth then.

...yeah, but it's most noticeable when the bg doesn't have flow. Oh well. I'll fix it when I have time

you can use pen tool to create flow =_=

Which was what I originally did, but was told that there were too many blue effects, so I removed them Anyways, I'll probably leave it as-is, i'll remember all this for my next sig, thanks
