Support character

So I have read that you guys want to do support char by using den den mushi to summon them and help the char. I have seen that you guys also do perona as support. But I think it is a waste if the support character just do only one attack. I hope you guys can make support char with multiple choices of attack; at the same time, you can't choose how their attack would be, it just random. For example

We summon Perona. She has 3 attacks
Negative ghost
Little ghost with exploding bomb
Big ghost with exploding bomb

I hope you guys understand though. Another example

You summon sugar as support char (I hope she is support char, or she will be op)
Black bear
Normal turn into toys
Summon the giant skeleton toy soldier.

Yeah having only 1 attack for 1 support character might suck.
How about the character does any 1 of the 3/4 moves it has randomly?
Like a computer AI would do..

I think we haven't fixed on how the support call is going to be. (I guess)
My suggestion is that we'll pick up the denden mushi and then summon whenever we want using the taunt+special button.. we can then initiate different moves for example either by Press >, ^ or v while taunt+special.

And what about varius tipes of Den Den Mushi, like Assault, Defense, Chaos?
Perona for example can have:
-Assault (Attack in Enemy, in a Den Den Green): Little Ghost with Exploding Bomb Blue): Negative ghost arroudn the player
-Chaos (Attack for all chars (Enemies+Player), in a Den Den Black): Big ghost with exploding bomb.

And if you can save the Den den you can select what Den Den tipe uses, so pressing "taunt+special+Up" uses Assault Den Den, "taunt+special+Down" uses Defence Den Den...

I think it should just be randomized. If you can choose which attack they'll do.. wouldn't things start getting a little too complex?

There are already so many inputs for attacking and defense alone.

Yea going through a random set of attacks sounds good. Or just AI controlled so they can choose which best attack to use for the situation.

If you were Doffy you could probably control them, but thats different XD


We have a base of Perona, so might do her first, also get Sanji's weakness to women out of the way too.

normal ghost, mini ghost, and big ghost for attacks sound basic enough for her too

Three attacks are too much I feel. If we're going to do that, then why not give them few basics and have them as non-playable bosses? The quality of their basic frames can be less to make it simple.

@RaCuGa: Types will make them more complex. We thought about making their shape portrait the support character it summons. I am not sure if we can have both.

Well its still very simple, and how about the number of attacks just depend on the character? Like Perona its really just 3 different projectiles, might use the same casting animation.

For Rebecca helper she'll just have that one counter and thats it probally...

What other helpers do you guys think would be good?

Rebecca's counter should work on all basic attacks XD

It is actually pretty easy. Instead make one support char with different attack. Why not make 3 same char with different attack? @Like Perona.

Yes different den den mushi will be too complex.

There are now a lot of helper especially gladiator character. I think from timeskip to Dressrosa this char should be support
-Sentoumaru?
-Fake straw hat? (Maybe all member included)

-Princess Shirahoshi (She has one attack "Summon the sea king" when someone hurt her. It might be more troublesome than dragon)
-All three fishman princes.
-Neptune.
-Van Der Decken (I remember you guys said you want to make him support char)
-All officer of Fishman pirates with drug implant on them
-The big guy with van der decken?

-Tashigi

-Gladiators
-all officers of Doflamingo family (Except if they show good fight like Baby 5 and Gladius)
-Rebecca as stated above. (I think she don't need to hurt anyone but she will make people fall and make them vulnerable)
