Pokémon Omega Ruby & Pokémon Alpha Sapphire
Finally decided to create a thread for it. I'll be just posting the main parts, and everything I post will from Serebii, so check that site out for more information. Now let's move on to the main part!
07-05-2014
It has been announced by The Pokémon Company that new versions of Pokémon Ruby & Sapphire are to be released on the Nintendo 3DS this year. These games, Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are coming November 2014 worldwide. The press release lists these games as a fresh take on Pokémon Ruby & Sapphire and states "The new titles promise to take players through a dramatic story within a spectacular new world.". The boxes feature Groudon & Kyogre, with some strange cosmetic alterations, and in Europe & Japan, the cases of the games come in Red and Blue respectively.

Following its reveal yesterday, there has been some question as to the actual content of Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, as to whether they're remakes or new versions due to the wording of the announcement. During the Investor Briefing today, Satoru Iwata confirmed that Pokémon Omega Ruby & Pokémon Alpha Sapphire are full-remakes of the 2002 releases, Pokémon Ruby & Sapphire.
The Japanese arm of The Pokémon Company sent out an e-mail to all Daisuki Club members which ends up pointing out the differences to Groudon & Kyogre on the box-art, stating that they're showcasing "never before seen Pokémon", the same terminology they used for Black & White Kyurem, as well as Mega Mewtwo Y upon their reveal, indicating that they are more than stylised artwork of the Pokémon.

Japanese variety show, Pokémon Get☆TV has showcased the first ever Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire footage. This footage showcased Groudon in it. It then showed a similar piece with Kyogre and showcased animations as they activated their abilities. They then made reference to how different Groudon & Kyogre look compared to the box-art.
The next batch of CoroCoro information have been posted to Japanese forums. The first of which reveals the game, Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire. As expected, it doesn't show screenshots of the game but rather does what happened in Get TV last night and compares Groudon & Kyogre to the images on the package. The magazine promises that new content will come & be revealed in the issue next month, currently set for release on June 14th 2014.

It has been confirmed that Secret Bases have returned to Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, now known as Super-Secret Bases. As before, Secret Bases are created by using the move Secret Power on various parts of the Hoenn region including on walls and in trees. You can even set battle rules in your Secret Base. Players will be able to share their Secret Base with other Trainers around the world using StreetPass functionality, or they can create a QR Code for their unique Secret Base, enabling friends to visit it with ease. When visiting other Secret Bases, players can meet other Trainers in the same base and invite them back to their own Secret Base as Secret Pals. Players can interact and battle with Secret Pals, who have special skills that can support players in their adventures, such as sharing new Decorations, making a Pokémon Egg hatch faster, or raising the level of a select Pokémon by one. The more Secret Pals players have in their Secret Base, the more special skills will be available to help them in their adventures. Players can also capture flags while visiting other players’ Secret Bases. Flags are located beside the Secret PC in each Secret Base. The more flags a player collects, the higher the rank earned, which brings rewards like improving the skills of a player’s Secret Pals. A new character called Aarune has been revealed for this, and he is the Secret Base Expert. He currently resides in Hoenn, but is a world traveler, and has a Flygon.

WohO! Can't wait for Gamma Emerald though. I liked Emerald a lot! Would love to see a 3d remake of that.
Re: Pokémon Omega Ruby & Pokémon Alpha Sapphire
Exactly! So damn awesome they finally did it never thought we'd actually be getting a hoenn remake considering the time it took!
Re: Pokémon Omega Ruby & Pokémon Alpha Sapphire
Yeah, they took 11 years. And Emerald was really awesome! I hope we get to see Mega Evolution of Sceptile and Swampert too, it's kinda unfair to only give Blaziken one.

Re: Pokémon Omega Ruby & Pokémon Alpha Sapphire
Sceptile's Dragon-type wasn't much of a surprise, seeing Sceptile was always in Dragon egg group and could learn Dragon Claws and Dragon Breath. What I like is the new round Swampert But Blaziken still will most populer out of the 3.

Re: Pokémon Omega Ruby & Pokémon Alpha Sapphire
The devolution was a complete unexpected for me..
But I feel they have messed this up already, because Aerodactly has a mega-evolution stating that its mega form is its true/prime form. Shouldn't it have devolution has well then???

Re: Pokémon Omega Ruby & Pokémon Alpha Sapphire
At first I thought that too, but think of it this way: Kyogre and Groudon fought each other and became so weak that they have been asleep for who knows how long, and Devolution will turn them back to how they used to be. Aerodactly, on the other hand, died and became just a fossil, and is given a new life, completely okay. The only thing I can think of that the Devolution will turn Aerodactly into is a fossil.

Ahh yes, that clears some sh*t. New Swampert looks all buff and sh*t.. He's like COME AT ME BRO, his physical stats were always the strongest actually.
Cant wait for more megas.. I think, Gallede will get one too? Coz Gardevoir had it, so its kinda unfair.

Re: Pokémon Omega Ruby & Pokémon Alpha Sapphire
I guess we sum it up that way. I just hope this whole thing doesn't turn into a Digimon clone. Though, I always wondered what a Digimon game would be like with a Pokemon engine.

Re: Pokémon Omega Ruby & Pokémon Alpha Sapphire
Holy crap man! Mega Altaria looks pretty neat.. the fact that he gets fairy isn't really surprising.
Mega lopunny is cool too, though I'd never use that pokemon
Kinda dissapointed with Mega Salamence.. like wtf, he became so thin and slim and weird.. o.O or maybe its just the angle.
Like it nonetheless!

Well, for a different angle, check out the new video. But yeah, I really am a little disappointed with the design and the stat it gets boost in.

A mega slowbrow? I remember that was very tough to beat even with Pikachu.. It didn't cause much damage to my pokemon, but it was really persistent. Would be crazy if that mega-evolution raises his Attack stats!
